The LGLD propane pumps are a part of the Cavitation Line of sliding vane pumps and are specifically designed for use in propane, LPG, butane, and anhydrous ammonia applications. These versatile pumps are ideal for various operational scenarios, including:
Key Points
Internal Relief Valve: Each model is equipped with an internal relief valve, ensuring pressure protection and the safe operation of the pump system.
Rebuildable Pumping Chamber: The pumping chamber is easily serviceable, with replaceable casing liners and end discs, simplifying maintenance and extending the life of the pump.
Cavitation Suppression Liners: To reduce operational noise, vibration, and wear, the pumps incorporate cavitation suppression liners, enhancing their performance and durability.
Mounting Flexibility: The LGLD2 propane pump is commonly mounted on bobtail chassis or on welded steel pads attached to tanks. For 3-inch and 4-inch rotary vane pump models, mounting options on transports are versatile, typically positioned near or between the tank landing gear brackets.
Fully Integrated Unit Assemblies: Blackmer® also offers Integrated Unit Assemblies, pre-engineered for ease of installation. These assemblies include a motor, gearbox, baseplate, coupling safety covers, and an LGL Sliding Vane Pump (in 2-inch, 3-inch, and 4-inch sizes). The key advantage of these fully integrated solutions is their ready-to-install nature, eliminating the need for alignment and providing an immediate, hassle-free installation.
The LGLD propane pumps are designed to provide reliable, efficient, and low-maintenance pumping solutions for handling liquefied gases, offering both flexibility in installation and superior performance in demanding applications.
Cavitation Suppression Liners: These pumps are equipped with cavitation suppression liners, which effectively mitigate the noise, vibration, and wear typically caused by entrained vapors, ensuring smoother and quieter operation.
Easily Rebuildable Pumping Chamber: The pumping chamber can be restored to a like-new condition with replaceable casing, liners, and end discs, allowing for cost-effective maintenance and prolonging the life of the pump.
Durability and Reliability: Constructed from ductile iron and featuring an internal relief valve, these pumps offer both durability and reliability, designed to withstand the rigors of demanding applications.
Rapid and Quiet Operation: Built for fast and quiet operation, these pumps deliver consistent, trouble-free performance over their lifespan.
Double-Ended Drive Shaft: The LGLD2 and LGLD3 models feature a double-ended drive shaft arrangement, which is particularly well-suited for bobtail service, providing increased stability and reliability.
Blackmer Mechanical Seal & Ball-Bearing Construction: The inclusion of Blackmer mechanical seals and ball-bearing construction enhances reliability, with the symmetrical bearing support ensuring even loading and wear, which helps to extend the pump’s operational life.
Mounting Flexibility: These pumps can be mounted on a bobtail truck, directly on the chassis, or alternatively on a steel pad welded to the tank, offering flexibility to fit a variety of applications.
Pressure Protection: An internal relief valve is incorporated to safeguard the pump against excessive pressures, providing added protection during operation.
Maximized Bearing Life: The external ball bearings are isolated from the pumpage by mechanical seals, which not only maximize bearing life but also minimize the risk of contamination from the fluid being pumped.
