The Blackmer TX/TXD/TXDI Series Sliding Vane Pumps, part of the Iron Line, are designed for reliable and efficient performance, offering quick and quiet operation. These pumps feature a robust sliding vane design, ensuring dependable and trouble-free operation over extended periods. Ideal for handling a wide range of fluids, they are particularly well-suited for blends of ethanol and biodiesel, thanks to the inclusion of Blackmer mechanical seals and FKM O-rings.
These pumps are engineered to meet the demands of various industrial applications, offering high performance, low maintenance, and extended service life.
Dual-End Drive Shaft: The drive shaft is dual-ended, enabling rotation in either clockwise (RH) or counterclockwise (LH) directions. This versatility allows for flexible installation and operation across various systems.
Stable Bearing Support: Roller ball bearings are placed on the exterior, supporting the rotor from both sides. This configuration establishes a stable environment for the internal mechanical seals, ensuring the pump operates smoothly and efficiently.
Simplified Installation: The pump is designed with a dual-ended shaft in 2, 2.5, and 3-inch models, streamlining the installation process and accommodating different system setups.
Blackmer Mechanical Seal and Ball-Bearing Construction: Blackmer mechanical seals and ball-bearing construction are implemented to ensure maximum reliability, extending the life of the pump and providing consistent performance.
Extended Dry-Run Capability: The internal mechanical seals allow for extended dry run capability, making the pump suitable for continuous operation, even with non-lubricating liquids.
Symmetrical Bearing Support: The symmetrical bearing support ensures even loading and wear, enhancing the pump’s longevity and minimizing the need for frequent repairs or replacements.
Adjustable Relief Valve: The adjustable relief valve protects the system from excessive pressures, improving safety and preventing potential damage to the pump or associated equipment.
T-Type Strainers: T-type strainers are available to protect the pump and associated systems from damage caused by contaminants like welding slag or foreign matter, ensuring smoother operation and minimizing downtime.
Volumetric Efficiency and Cost Savings: The high volumetric efficiency and symmetrical bearing support reduce the required horsepower, leading to cost savings in motor operation and energy consumption. This makes the pumps more economical compared to other positive displacement (PD) pumps.
Isolation of Bearings from Pumpage: The external ball bearings are strategically isolated from the pumped liquid by mechanical seals, maximizing the bearing life and minimizing the risk of contamination, which enhances reliability and reduces maintenance.
Easy Maintenance: Vanes can be replaced without the need to remove the pump from the truck, simplifying maintenance and reducing downtime, which improves overall system efficiency.
Automatic Adaptation to Wear: The sliding-vane design automatically adjusts to wear, ensuring that flow rates remain consistent throughout the pump's lifespan. This self-adjustment enhances the pump’s long-term efficiency and performance.
Self-Priming and Dry-Run Capabilities: The pump is known for its remarkable self-priming ability, allowing it to start pumping without the need for external priming systems. Additionally, its dry-run capabilities enable the pump to operate without damage even when there is a lack of liquid, providing flexibility in various operational conditions.
Consistent Performance: The unique sliding-vane mechanism ensures that the pump delivers consistent performance over time. The design minimizes the risk of operational interruptions, offering trouble-free operation.
Impressive Suction Lift and Line-Stripping: The pump features impressive suction lift capabilities, enabling it to draw fluid from greater distances or depths. Its effective line-stripping performance ensures complete evacuation of liquid from the system, making it ideal for applications requiring maximum liquid recovery.
Low Maintenance and Life-Cycle Costs: With its simple, durable design, the sliding-vane pump requires low maintenance, reducing downtime and maintenance costs. This contributes to overall low life-cycle costs, making it a cost-effective solution for long-term operation.
