The Z-Series Coro-Vane Pumps are designed for optimal performance in handling liquefied gases, especially in LPG (propane and butane) and agricultural ammonia applications. These pumps feature advanced engineering, ensuring reliability and durability for challenging applications. Key attributes include:

  • Six-Blade Design with Blade Drivers: This configuration ensures efficient pumping, providing smooth operation and optimal flow.
  • Needle Roller Thrust Bearing: A revolutionary 4,000 lb. rated needle roller thrust bearing protects the pump from dynamic impact loads, significantly reducing the risk of premature failures caused by axial thrust, especially in truck applications.
  • O-Ring Construction: The entire pump is designed with O-rings, offering superior sealing and minimizing leaks, ensuring longevity and efficiency.
  • Silicon Carbide Seal Seat: The mechanical seal features a silicon carbide seal seat, ensuring maximum leakage control and improving the pump's operational life.
  • Non-Adjustable Internal Relief Valve: Pre-set at the factory, the internal relief valve is designed for ease of use, with no need for adjustments in the field.
  • High Vapor Pressure Liquids: While ideal for LPG, these pumps are also suitable for other liquefied gases with high vapor pressures, such as natural gas liquids (NGLs), refrigerants, CO2, and more.

These Z-Series Coro-Vane pumps provide reliable, high-efficiency solutions for a range of light liquid applications, including propane, butane, ammonia, and other liquefied gases, with a maximum working pressure of 400 psi (28.6 bar).

  • Self-Adjusting Sliding Blades and Blade Drivers: The self-adjusting blades ensure consistent performance, compensating for wear and maintaining optimal efficiency over time.
  • Reversible Sideplates: The sideplates can be reversed, doubling their lifespan and reducing the need for frequent replacements of the cam and sideplates.
  • Easy Maintenance: The pump head can be removed for full access to the internal components, making maintenance quick and cost-effective without disturbing the piping system.
  • Vapor Handling: The pump is capable of handling small amounts of vapor, making it ideal for applications involving liquefied gases.
  • Excellent Suction Lift: The pump’s exceptional suction lift is perfect for clearing suction and discharge lines, ensuring smooth operation.
  • Pre-Set Internal Relief Valve: The internal relief valve is pre-set at the factory, ensuring safe operation without the need for adjustments in the field.
  • Flow Rate: up to 385 gpm (1,457 l/min)
  • Working Pressure: up to 400 psi (27.6 bar)
  • Differential Pressure: up to 125 psi (8.6 bar)
  • Temperature Range: -25 to 225 F (-32 to 107 C)
  • Viscosity: up to 20,000 SSU (4,250 cSt)
  • High-Pressure Capacity: Designed to operate at a maximum working pressure of 400 psi (27.6 bar), making it suitable for demanding environments.
  • Mounting Options: Available in both foot-mounted and truck-mounted models for flexibility in various applications.
  • O-Ring Construction: Features an O-ring construction with a six-blade design and blade drivers for reliable and efficient performance.
  • Silicon Carbide Seal Seat: Equipped with a mechanical seal and a silicon carbide seal seat for optimal leakage control and durability.
  • Flange Options: Available with NPT or Class 300 RF flanges, depending on the model, to ensure compatibility with various systems.
  • UL Approval: Approved by Underwriters' Laboratories (UL) for use with agricultural ammonia and LPG, ensuring safety and reliability in these specific applications.
  • Hydraulic Drive Option: Includes a hydraulic drive option for versatility in powering the pump.
  • Pump Casing and Heads: Made from ductile iron, providing strength and resilience for demanding environments.
  • Cam and Sideplates: Crafted from gray iron, offering durability and wear resistance.
  • Rotor and Flanges: Constructed from ductile iron to ensure robustness and long-lasting operation.
  • Seal Seat: Made of silicon carbide, providing excellent leakage control and durability under high pressure.
  • O-Rings: Utilizes a variety of elastomers, including Buna-N, PTFE, Viton®, and Neoprene, all registered trademarks of DuPont, for reliable sealing under various conditions.
  • Blades: Manufactured from advanced polymers, ensuring low friction and extended pump life with minimal wear.
