When pumping gasoline with the 300 Series pump, it's important to note that its high flow rate can sometimes lead to vapor lock issues, particularly in hot weather. This occurs because gasoline is more prone to vaporization at higher temperatures, and the rapid flow of fuel may cause the formation of vapors that interfere with the pump’s ability to transfer the liquid effectively.

If you're operating in very hot climates, it may be advisable to consider using the 700 Series models instead. These pumps are designed with better vapor handling capabilities, making them more suitable for gasoline pumping in high-temperature environments, where vapor lock is more likely to occur.
