The RVP-Series Self-Priming Rotary Vane Pumps are designed for superior performance and reliability in a variety of fluid handling applications. These pumps feature:

  • Inbuilt By-Pass Valve: This safeguard protects both the pump and system from overpressure, enhancing safety and longevity.
  • Sliding Vane Mechanism: The rotor rotates inside an eccentrically machined cam, with vanes that slide in and out, moving liquid efficiently forward. This simple yet effective design contributes to reliable operation.
  • Self-Adjusting Vane Design: The vanes automatically adjust to compensate for wear, ensuring continuous performance over time.
  • Low Friction Vanes: Manufactured from sophisticated polymers with extremely low coefficients of friction, the vanes reduce wear, increase efficiency, and prolong the pump's service life.
  • Fuel and Light Petroleum Applications: Originally designed for fuel and light petroleum handling, the RVP-Series pumps excel in transferring flammable liquids, providing a safe and efficient solution.
  • Energy-Efficient Operation: These pumps require less horsepower compared to other pumps of similar size, contributing to energy savings and lower operational costs.

With its robust design and energy-efficient operation, the SAMPI RVP-Series rotary vane pump is an excellent choice for a wide range of fuel, petroleum, and flammable liquid applications.

The RVP-Series Pumps offer versatile solutions for both mobile and stationary systems, catering to various fueling and fluid handling applications. Here's a breakdown of the options available:

Mobile Systems (Road Tankers)

  • Direct Drive from Truck PTO through Cardan Joint: The pump can be directly powered from the truck’s power take-off (PTO) system, providing reliable operation without the need for additional motors or complex systems.
  • Hydraulic Motor Drive with Adaptor: For greater flexibility, the RVP pump can be driven by a hydraulic motor, with an adaptor to connect to the system.
  • Pumping Set with Diesel Engine: In certain configurations, a diesel engine drive with a mounting plate can be fixed to the truck chassis, offering an efficient and mobile pumping solution.

Stationary Systems (Terminal, Bulk Plants, and Dispensing Points)

  • Electric Motors with Belt & Pulley or Gearbox Drive: For fixed installations, the pump can be powered by electric motors connected via a belt & pulley or gearbox drive, ensuring smooth operation and reliability.
  • High Flow Dispensers: Equipped with electric motors, these high-flow dispensers feature rubber hoses and nozzles for easy fuel dispensing, with hose reels available for long-distance dispensing, including marine and aviation refueling.

ATEX Compliance

  • ATEX II 2 G Version: The RVP-Series pumps can be supplied in an ATEX II 2 G version (certified for use in Zone 1 hazardous areas), making them suitable for environments with explosive atmospheres.
  • Overheat Temperature Switch: For additional safety, an overheat temperature switch can be included, ensuring that the pump operates within safe temperature ranges.
