The WX System is a high-level warning and emergency shutdown solution designed to enhance operational safety in petroleum and chemical handling environments. It integrates advanced monitoring capabilities and automatic control features to mitigate risks effectively.

  • Alarm and Control Functions:

    • Supports alarms and automatic shutdown control for pumps and valves to stop product flow immediately.

  • Sensor Monitoring:

    • Capable of monitoring 3–12 sensing points, depending on the model, making it ideal for multiple fixed storage tank applications requiring individual displays and/or output control.

  • Intrinsically Safe Sensors:

    • Utilizes sensors approved for use in Class I, Division 1, Group C, and D hazardous locations.

  • Durable Housing Design:

    • Features NEMA 4 style watertight housings, ensuring protection against environmental factors.

  • Sensor Compatibility:

    • Compatible with Scully field-proven thermistor or two-wire optic sensors for reliable performance.

  • Dynamic Self-Checking Circuitry:

    • Monitors the controller, wiring, connections, and sensors for faults 30 times per second, ensuring maximum safety and reliability.

  • Versatile Detection Capabilities:

    • Sensors provide high-level detection for a wide variety of petroleum and chemical products.

  • Automatic Alarm and Shutdown:

    • Sounds an audible alarm and/or activates pumps and valves to initiate an automatic shutdown when liquid presence or system faults are detected.
