The TODO NGX Marine Break-Away Coupling is a critical component designed for use in marine operations to prevent spillage and damage when hazardous liquids are being loaded or unloaded from ships or barges. It operates by automatically detecting excessive straight-pull forces and shutting off the flow by closing the valves, allowing for safe disconnection. The coupling is engineered to endure the demanding conditions of marine environments, ensuring that disconnection only occurs under the correct conditions (i.e., straight-pull forces). Forces perpendicular to the flow direction will not activate the breakaway mechanism.

316L Stainless Steel: Selected for its durability and performance across a wide range of harsh applications, ensuring longevity and reliability in marine environments.

  • High Flow Rate/Low Pressure Drop: Designed to provide optimal flow efficiency while minimizing pressure loss.
  • Straight-Pull Activation: The coupling is engineered to resist axial forces, ensuring it disconnects only under straight-pull conditions, protecting the system from accidental separation.
  • Independent Operation: It functions without reliance on external power or shut-off safety systems, ensuring it operates autonomously.
  • Easy On-site Reset: After activation, the coupling can be easily reset without the need for complex tools or procedures.
  • Temperature Range: -20°C to +80°C (-4°F to +176°F)
  • Working Pressure:
    • 2″ & 3″ Stainless Steel: 40 bar (580 psi)
    • 4″ Stainless Steel: 25 bar (363 psi)
    • 6″ Stainless Steel: 22 bar (319 psi)
    • Note: Pressure ratings are reduced for flanged products based on individual pressure ratings, e.g., PN10/16 flanged products are rated for 16 bar in stainless steel.
