O-ring Grades

TODO couplings can be purchased with an almost unlimited choice of O-ring grades to suit a wide range of applications, however the list below features our most commonly used:

  • Nitrile (NBR or Buna)
  • Viton (FKM)
  • EPDM
  • Kalrez (FFKM)
  • FMVQ
  • Chemraz (FFKM)

Working Temperature Range: -20°C to +80°C (-4°F to +176°F) (Refer to the 'Special Options' tab for details on applications outside this range.)

Working Pressure:

  • Aluminium:

    • 1″, 2.5″, 3″, 4″, 6″: 10 bar (145 psi)

    • 2″: 16 bar (232 psi)

  • Brass: 10 bar (145 psi)

  • Stainless Steel: 25 bar (363 psi)

Note: Working pressures are reduced for flanged products based on their individual pressure ratings. For example, PN10/16 flanged products in stainless steel are reduced to 16 bar.

Material

TODO is dedicated to delivering the highest quality products. The materials used in TODO-MATIC® DRY-BREAK couplings are carefully selected to ensure optimal performance across a broad range of applications:

  • Aluminium: EN AW 6262 T6

  • Brass: CW614N

  • Stainless Steel: 316L

TODO caps are specifically designed to protect key connection areas from debris during periods of non-use. Please note that these caps are not pressure-tight. For pressure-tight solutions, refer to our Safety Pressure Tight Caps product section.

Cap and Plug Sizes and Materials:

  • 1″ (DN25): Aluminium, Brass, Rubber, Stainless Steel

  • 2″ (DN50): Aluminium, Brass, Rubber, Stainless Steel

TODO-MATIC Coupling Options

TODO-MATIC couplings provide a range of special features and options to meet diverse application requirements. These options enhance safety, ease of use, and compatibility for various industries.

Selectivity

  • Prevents cross-contamination by ensuring only matching selectivity units will couple together.

  • Utilizes a keying system available on all TODO-MATIC sizes for guaranteed compatibility.

Locking Mechanism

  • Ensures the Hose Unit remains securely coupled to the Tank Unit, even under hose tension.

  • Provides easy operation during coupling and uncoupling, enhancing reliability.

Magnetic Switch

  • A non-powered magnetic switch integrated into the Hose Unit.

  • Generates an on/off signal indicating whether the hose unit is coupled or uncoupled.

  • Compatible with PLC systems (not supplied) for remote monitoring.

  • No ATEX certification required, as the switch operates without power.

4WD Unit (Four-Wheel Drive)

  • Designed for aggressive applications in a 2-inch Hose Unit.

  • Features two additional rollers to simplify coupling and uncoupling under high pressure or aggressive media conditions.

Pressure Equalisation Valve (PEV)

  • Available for 2"–3" Tank Units.

  • Releases a small amount of pressure from the tank unit body into the piston cavity.

  • Facilitates easier coupling in cases of pressure build-up behind the Tank Unit.

Handle Options

Multiple handle configurations are available for Hose Units to suit different operational preferences:

  • Single Handle

  • No Handle

  • Circular Handle

  • Double Handle

  • Long Handle

Working Temperature Ranges

  • Standard operating range: -20°C to +80°C.

  • Custom designs can accommodate higher or lower temperatures.

  • Note: Working pressure must be reduced in high-temperature applications to ensure operator safety. Contact TODO for specific guidance on pressure ratings.

Coloured Bodies

  • Hose and Tank Units can be customized with colored bodies.

  • Provides visual identification to improve operator guidance and reduce errors.

These options make TODO-MATIC couplings a versatile and secure choice for various demanding applications. For further details or customized solutions, please contact TODO.
