These vacuum boosters are essential for improving the performance of vacuum pumps in various applications, including vacuum furnaces and wood composites.

  • Enhanced Pumping Performance:

    • Vacuum boosters significantly improve pumping speeds and allow deeper vacuum levels, ideal for many industrial applications.
  • Mechanical Seals:

    • Includes mechanical seals on the rotor and drive shafts.
    • Water-cooled drive shaft seal.
    • Integral pressure lubrication system with a water-cooled heat exchanger.
  • Slinger Seals:

    • Utilizes a mechanical drive shaft seal along with a non-contacting, non-wearing slinger seal for rotor shafts.
    • Similar water-cooled drive shaft seal and pressure lubrication system.
  • Low Mechanical Noise:

    • Designed to operate at 82 dB(A) or less at blank-off, ensuring a quieter operation in open-field settings.
  • Material Options:

    • Standard materials include cast iron housing, end plates, and ductile iron rotors and shafts.
    • Special materials, such as stainless steel or carbon steel, are available for certain models.
    • Bi-Protec® Nickel/Armoloy® coating for additional protection.
  • Motor Mounting Options:

    • Available with flange adapters to directly mount a NEMA C-face motor (up to 75 HP) or IEC D-flange motor (up to 55 kW), which eliminates the need for base mounting assemblies or coupling guards.
  • Metric Availability:

    • All models are available with metric drive shaft and process connections.
  • Testing:

    • Includes rigorous testing standards such as ASME PTC-9 for pressure testing and hydrostatic testing to 150 PSIG (10.35 bar g).
    • Seal leakage testing is also performed to ensure the quality and reliability of the product.
