Operating Principle:

The VEGADIF 85 utilizes a metallic measuring cell with a piezoresistive sensor element. Pressure differences are transmitted through separating diaphragms and an oil filling to a sensor element, which converts the pressure into an electrical signal. It also measures the temperature of the measuring cell and static pressure on the low-pressure side, providing additional output signals for comprehensive data.

The VEGADIF 85 offers multiple methods for adjustment and configuration, enhancing flexibility and ease of use in various operational settings:

Adjustment Methods:

  1. Direct Adjustment at the Measuring Point:

    • Display and Adjustment Module PLICSCOM: The instrument can be adjusted directly at the measuring point using this optional module, providing an intuitive interface for setup.
    • PC with Adjustment Software: Alternatively, the instrument can be adjusted via a PC running PACTware software, which communicates with the device using the appropriate Device Type Manager (DTM).

  1. Wireless Adjustment via Bluetooth:

    • The Bluetooth-enabled version of the display and adjustment module allows for wireless configuration.
    • Compatible Devices: Smartphones or tablets with iOS or Android operating systems, as well as PCs with the Bluetooth USB adapter and PACTware software, can be used to wirelessly adjust the instrument.
    • Free Apps: Adjustment can be performed via a free app available on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  1. Adjustment via Remote Systems:

    • The VEGADIF 85 can also be adjusted remotely through HART Communicator devices.
    • It supports manufacturer-specific programs such as AMS™ (Asset Management Solutions) or PDM (Process Device Manager) for more advanced configuration and maintenance tasks.

The housing consists of a single compartment designed to hold the electronic components and facilitate connections. It includes provisions for the voltage supply and signal output, enabling integration with display and adjustment modules or interface adapters. Additionally, it supports connections to an external display and adjustment unit. A ground terminal is provided to connect the shielding of cables, ensuring protection from electrical interference.
